Our Tax Dollars at Work

With all of the rain we have been getting this year, it is very common to see more and more potholes throughout your city. Potholes form when water seeps through cracks in the pavement and puddles up. Water pressure and gravity combine to break up the dirt under the roadway causing the asphalt to slump and a new pothole to form. Potholes can cause serious damage to your tires, rims, and wheel alignment and can be costly to your wallet. If you are getting frustrated with the city not repairing these potholes then you should contact your city's Public Works Department and file a report. If your car has been damaged by these potholes then you might be able to receive a reimbursement from the city in which the damage happened.
