Thinking of Refinancing Your Home?

If you have always made your mortgage payments on time but have been told that you may not refinance due to the decrease in the value of your home, you should check to see if your mortgage is owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac because you may be eligible for a Home Affordable Refinance. What does this mean? According to the Making Home Affordable.gov website, the Home Affordable Refinance program gives homeowners with loans owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac an opportunity to refinance into more affordable monthly payments. You may be able to take advantage of lower interest rates!
