A "pocket listing" is a home that may be marketed by an agent, but not listed in the MLS with other homes currently listed for sale. Instead it's in the agent's "pocket".
If you are a La Canada buyer, it’s important to work with a local Realtor® who has established relationships with other agents in the community so you can be certain that you’ll be made aware of all potential homes for sale. Many buyers never even know of pocket listings in the area because their Realtor® is from out of area or is only a part time agent. Pocket listings are great for many buyers because it can eliminate the competition and the hassle of multiple offers.
